I record voiceover daily from my home in Clapham, which is acoustically and technically designed to deliver broadcast standard audio, in a file format of your choice.

 

I can also attend London studios and edit suites with ease, and at very short notice.

AUDITION

To help you make the right choice of voice, I can rapidly deliver a demo for any project, free of charge. Just send a section of script.

​

 

DIRECTION

You can monitor or direct a recording session with Skype or Clean Feed with a Chrome browser. Or direct to picture over Zoom - just send a low-res video, and join the meeting, and I'll press the buttons this end. You'll recieve a synched audio track.

 

I can 'self-direct' if you give a few steers, or ask for a style / energy that matches an existing read on one of my demos.

AUDIO TREATMENT

Recorded audio can be delivered to you in a number of dynamic states. Please request the one that works best for you.

 

1. FLAT

An audio editior / producer, may wish to recieve the audio 'flat'. This is the pure sound of the microphone, with natural peaks and troughs of vocal volume level, Usually, the editor will then compress and add EQ to thier own spec. Totally flat audio sounds natural but can struggle to cut through on busier / louder projects

 

2. LIGHT COMPRESSION

This gives the vocal a little more 'punch' - evening out volume fluctuations and improving clarity for voice sitting on low level music.

3. HEAVY COMPRESSION

When placing voice heavily into the mix of busy guitar or electronic music, this radio style compression may suit. It's even punchier, but can lose some warmth, light and shade.

 

4. EQ

A little top and bottom EQ can be applied to add brightness / richness to the vocal. 

 

 

EDITING

For a small additional fee, I can edit or tidy up a recording. Examples include: splitting a longer session into individual sections, removing breaths, or turning the best takes into one clean file.

TURN AROUND TIME

When do you need it? If it's a short piece, you could have audio delivered within an hour or two - otherwise, to a mutually agreed deadline, within a few working hours or next day.

AUDIO DISPATCH

Small mp3 files can be delivered via email, though the majority are larger WAVs, received via a Dropbox or WeTransfer link for download.
